Rethinking Search: Finding Images, Instantly
In a world where visual content dominates, users often struggle to find relevant images quickly and efficiently. This project focused on creating an intuitive visual search experience that increases user engagement and streamlines the discovery process.
Challenge
When Words Fall Short: The Limits of Text-Based Search
Traditional search methods rely heavily on text-based queries, which can be limiting when users don’t have the right words to describe what they’re looking for. The goal was to create a seamless, AI-powered visual search tool that allows users to find images using other images, making search more intuitive and effective.
Solution
Sketch It, Search It: AI-Powered Visual Discovery
To solve this problem, we developed a user-friendly interface that allows users to draw their own sketches as input. The system then analyzes key visual elements and identifies the essential characteristics of the drawn object to suggest highly relevant results. Our focus was on:
A clean, modern UI that feels natural and effortless to use.
Smart AI integration to deliver accurate and meaningful search results.
Smooth interactions and animations to enhance the user experience.
The Design Process
User Research & Pain Points
We conducted research to understand how users interact with search and where they encounter friction.
Wireframing & Prototyping
We sketched multiple layouts to ensure a clear, intuitive workflow.
UI/UX Design
We refined the interface with a strong focus on accessibility, responsiveness, and engagement.
Testing & Iteration
User feedback helped us fine-tune details, from button placements to search result accuracy.
